The deadline for submitting a review is 30 November 2022. If you find titles that you would like to review, please contact us no later than 31 October 2022 at bookrevieweditor@iscb.info.
You can only request one book for review at a time. After submitting review, you can ask for another book. The offered books may only be reviewed by current ISCB members. When you ask for the book, you are supposed to do the review. It is not allowed to shift reviewing to another person.
You can send the review in a variety of formats but Word and RTF are preferred. For review examples, please see already published reviews at https://iscb.international/book-reviews-from-the-past/. The length of review books should be between 1/2 and 1 page in 10pt Calibri (equivalent to 3000-6000 characters, including spaces). You should not confuse a book review with a book summary. The book review describes mainly the strengths and/or weaknesses of the book.
Please remember that you’re making a commitment to the Society to review a book in return for keeping it.
The books are usually distributed by the publishers. But, please, do not send your reviews to them. We send all the edited reviews to the publishers together, after they are published.
